Complaints and disputed situations

Most disputes are not lost on the merits. They are lost because nobody kept the numbers. This page sets out what to collect before writing anything, with particular attention to bonus disputes, where the argument is almost always about a calculation.

Three common disputes and their evidence

DisputeWhat to saveWhat settles it
Voided bonusBetting history for the bonus period, stake by stakeWhether any stake exceeded 2,000 Ft, and when
Wagering not progressingDated screenshot of the promotions tab plus the stakes concernedThe contribution weight of that category
Withdrawal on holdTransaction history, request timestamp, verification statusWhether verification closed and whether a bonus is still running

The order that works

  1. Collect first. Screenshots of the promotions tab and transaction history with exact times; these get harder to retrieve later.
  2. Re-run the maths. Using the formula on the wagering page, check whether your own figure matches theirs. If it does not, the complaint has substance.
  3. Live chat. The first round always happens here. The support page covers what belongs in the opening message.
  4. Written complaint. If chat fails, email with numbered attachments, narrowed to a single question.
  5. External forum. The supervisory or dispute body named in the operator's terms, once no substantive answer has been given.

What makes a complaint strong

Arguments not worth making

A breached stake ceiling cannot be explained away after the fact, because it sits in the betting history. Duplicate accounts, payment instruments in someone else's name and false registration details are equally undeniable. In those cases a complaint only costs time; the useful step is reading the rules in advance on the bonus terms page.

When the problem is not the operator

If the real subject is how much is being played rather than what was paid, the answer is a limit, not a complaint. Deposit limits, cooling-off and exclusion are described under self-exclusion and limits, with the wider picture under responsible gambling.

Questions before filing

What causes most bonus complaints?
Breaching the maximum stake. Under the terms a spin above 2,000 HUF while a bonus is active voids the bonus and anything won from it. If such a stake appears in the betting history, a complaint has nowhere to go — although the player's own deposit remains untouched in that scenario.
The wagering counter looks stuck. What now?
Check the contribution table first: at 10 percent on live tables and 20 percent on jackpot slots the counter moves slowly rather than not at all. If a base slot fails to move it by the full stake, export the relevant line of the betting history and take that to support.
How long does a complaint take?
A first substantive reply usually arrives within business days; anything requiring a financial investigation takes longer. Response time restarts from the last missing document, so it pays to send everything in one go.
Where does it go if the operator's answer is unacceptable?
To the supervisory body attached to the operator's licence, or the dispute forum named in its terms. In Hungary the register of licensed organisers and the list of blocked sites are maintained by the SZTFH, which is where the correct addressee can be identified.
